Precast Concrete Quality Assurance Officer Our Company manufactures Precast Concrete panels, supplying to sectors such as Commercial Development and High Rise apartments. We currently have a full time Production/QA Officer position available for our busy precast concrete panels manufacturing business based in Dandenong South. The role of the Production/QA Officer is to manufacture and take responsibility for the consistent quality of the precast concrete products that are produced at our factory before delivery to sites. The successful applicant will be working in the manufacturing plant office and will need to be available to work Monday to Friday and Saturday when required for a minimum 40‑hour per week on salary. The role requires the incumbent to contribute to the safe work environment through Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), constant checking on the condition of equipment you use, correct manual handling practices, and reporting of safety, quality or environmental issues. Daily liaison with customers, engineers and production staff requires the ability to think on their feet and solve problems in a logical sense. Knowledge in the precast industry is mandatory. Key Responsibilities Responsible for all precast manufacturing Adequate control of incoming reinforcement stock and consumables in line with production requirements Ensure quality on job checks to ensure compliance with customer specifications and report failures to the Leading Hand Take an active approach in meeting the production requirements Ensure production outputs are aligned to customer requirements, meeting production and delivery schedules at all times Extensive diary and email management Assist with shop drawings Dispatch jobs onsite Manage labour levels, forecasting and acquisition Develop, implement and manage QA/QC processes to exceed the projects and client expectations Daily pre‑/post‑pour checks of precast elements and mould Continuous checking of elements/components prior to reinforcement placement and after concrete pour Ensuring correct reinforcement has been placed Placing panel identification tags to all precast elements.(Weight / Casting date / Panel number) Once stripping completed, all post‑pour checks to be conducted; drawings and post‑pour check sheets to be completed and signed Document control of all QA documents/files/ITP/test results/delivery dockets Checking of shop drawings in advance, for missing dimensions/discrepancies and components Raise report and follow up, with closing out, if and when required Conduct material take‑off for procurement Raise purchase orders, if and when required Aid in project support, liaising with clients and suppliers Visit sites for inspections, if and when required Candidate Criteria Confident professional with a friendly and engaging personality Ability to understand and read technical designs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional time management skills Extensive knowledge and experience in the precast industry Industry understanding and knowledge of relevant Australian Standards & Regulations Highly collaborative and negotiation style, able to influence from ground level to senior executive level Flexible and adaptable approach to adjust to changing industry demands Analytical and critical thinking capabilities Strong problem‑solving, organisational and project management skillsHard work ethic and ability to maintain factory conditions to Australian standards; available for early starts or late finishes Usual working weeks 40–50 hours; permanent employee on payroll If you feel like you have the necessary experience for this role, apply today #J-18808-Ljbffr
