Flashings / Slitline Operator

Flashings / Slitline Operator - Metroll Bunbury Reporting to the Bunbury Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the production and roll forming of various Metroll metal building products including roofing, cladding, rainwater, structural and fencing products, with a focus on flashings and slitline operations. You’ll operate a range of machinery such as folding and bending machines, rollers, presses, guillotines, and shears to cut, shape, and form materials to required specifications. This role also offers the opportunity to build skills across multiple production lines and profiles. Some overtime may be required. Key Responsibilities Always maintain a safe and clean work environment. Conduct pre-start checks and ensure all materials are available for production. Receive and process work orders to determine job, material, and equipment requirements. Mark out, cut, and shape materials to meet design and dimension specifications. Operate roll forming and associated machinery including folding, bending, pressing, and slitting equipment. Assemble and finish metal components as required. Capture coil information and maintain accurate production records. Support customer collections, loading, and unloading as needed. Follow all Occupational Health & Safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture. Skills & Attributes Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious. Strong attention to detail and quality. Good communication skills – both within the team and with customers. Ability to perform physical work and safely handle materials. Able to work independently and collaboratively. Previous experience operating overhead cranes (desirable). Experience in metal fabrication, roll forming, or manufacturing (advantageous).
