Work Integrated Learning - Placement Officer Office of Education, Strategy and Quality – CQUniversity Rockhampton or Mackay. Higher Education Worker Level 6. Fixed‑Term (until ), Full‑Time. Total Remuneration $110,541 to $119,053 pa (includes salary and super). About the Role Help shape the future workforce by supporting students on their work placement journey at one of Australia’s most inclusive and engaged universities. As a WIL Officer, you’ll connect students with real‑world industry experience, working closely with academic teams, industry partners, and students to secure placements that meet course, accreditation, and professional requirements. Your day‑to‑day will involve relationship management, strategic planning, data entry, cross‑team collaboration, and problem‑solving – all with the goal of supporting student success. Key Responsibilities Facilitate and administer student work placement across a range of disciplines and student cohorts. Build and maintain relationships with industry partners and academic teams. Secure placements that meet course, accreditation, and professional requirements. Manage placement coordination processes including data entry, record keeping, and reporting. Support students through the placement journey, providing guidance and problem‑solving. Qualifications & Experience A degree and relevant experience (or equivalent combination of training/experience). Experience in a Work Integrated Learning environment (highly regarded). Recruitment or sales experience combined with an administration background is advantageous. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage a variety of stakeholders. Proven ability to manage complex tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently within a fast‑paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and a solutions‑focused mindset. Confident in using business support tools (Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, or corporate information systems). Benefits 6 weeks annual leave (incl.
