People + culture first Safety always Flexibility targeted Health + Wellbeing paramount The Role: As an experienced Team Leader + Supervisor you will hold previous Waste Collection experience, be a skilled HR Waste Truck Driver, have sound Leadership skills and experience in WHS Plans and Procedures to lead and direct a team of waste truck operators. You will be responsible for supervising the daily operation of local waste collection services. This role is available with a Local Council Sector SOR. You will need to hold Valid licences, Relevant training & qualifications in front line management & Operating Tickets. Show a strong understanding in the operation of vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instruction & operating procedures within company regulations. Having has experience using Authority/CRM systems will be a strong advantage along with possessing a strong level of proficiency in the requirements listed: Sound time management and organisational skills Well-developed employee relations and interpersonal skills Sound leadership skills High level conflict resolution skills Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with limited supervision in a team environment Sound knowledge of the City’s safety policies, worksite safety plans and traffic regulations Knowledge of maintenance procedures for waste plant and bins Knowledge of waste management practices, including a high level of skill in the operation of waste collection plant Considerable experience and expertise of the local government operations Experience in coordinating, supervising or leading teams in waste servicesExperience in a customer service-related area Considerable experience developing WHS and worksite safety plans and procedures Considerable experience in the operation and maintenance of waste collection plant Criteria: Valid driver’s licence (HR Required) Previous Experience in similar roles (Highly Desirable) Relevant qualifications in front line management Progressing towards Certificate III in Waste Driving Operations (Desirable) Progressing towards Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable) Senior First Aid Certificate (Desirable Current National Police Clearance – Clean Driving record (Required) Be reliable, honest and a team player If you are a dedicated and experienced individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, please click APPLY NOW to send your up-to-date resume.
