Origin is looking for an experienced Commercial & Business Development Manager to help us towards a cleaner, more sustainable energy future through our Community Batteries initiative. As the Commercial & Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in evaluating and developing business opportunities that drive market growth. You will support major agreements while independently negotiating and commercialising a variety of innovative opportunities within the community and distribution battery sector. Your strategic insights and partnerships will directly contribute to Origin's mission to lead the global transition towards a Net Zero future. Your responsibilities will include: Evaluate network and community battery investment opportunities and tolling agreements Steer the negotiation of commercial terms and collaborate with legal teams to finalise agreements. Manage and develop key stakeholder relationships (both internal and external) to drive innovative energy solutions. Provide detailed financial and commercial analysis, contributing to long-term strategies and supporting short-term operational decisions. Support the development of Storage-as-a-Service, community power and community investment products for retail and commercial customers. What will you bring? You will also demonstrate: Experience in the energy market, with a track record of securing favourable commercial agreements. Excellence in managing business relationships from opportunity initiation through to contract commercialisation.
