Direct message the job poster from Talent Senior IT Recruitment Consultant at Talent International Initial 12 Month Contract | Potential to Extend Melbourne CBD Location | Working From Home Options Government Department | Setting the PMO Strategy The Role: This Government Department is seeking a PMO Lead to ensure that programs and projects are executed effectively and efficiently, and project teams possess the necessary tools and skills to see projects through to completion. The Responsibilities: Lead, manage and develop the PMO team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Allocate tasks, manage workloads, provide regular feedback and conduct regular performance reviews Working with the Governance and Performance Lead, Program and Project Managers to produce timely and accurate Program Steering Committee Packs and Project Control Board Packs. Run regular Risk, Issue, Assumption, Dependency and Decision (RAIDD) sessions, ensuring the necessary action is taken to resolve issues and mitigate risks, dependencies are tracked, and decisions are recorded. Ensure that project and program delivery resources are adequately informed of processes and standards they need to follow. Skills & Experience Required: 7+ years' experience in a PMO on a large-scale program in an IT delivery environment, ideally with experience on transformation programs. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential with the ability to adapt style and tone for different audiences. Excellent organisational and time-keeping skills are required in this role with the ability to effectively balance a number of briefing, reporting, and management responsibilities. Proven ability to analyse and present data in a concise and meaningful way, to then be able to understand, question and present accurately on the direction of the programs. Ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders to support them in their decision-making on development and delivery.
