The Opportunity & How You Will Make An Impact We are looking for a proactive Assistant Valuer to join our national Specialist Valuation & Litigation team within our Rating, Taxation and Advisory division in Melbourne. You will have the opportunity to work for Australia’s leading retail and commercial clients across a national institutional grade market, develop technical abilities effective consulting skills, and become a leader in the business over time. As an Assistant Valuer in our Specialist Valuations and Litigation team, you will contribute to valuations that support councils, government, and communities. You will work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience through inspections—all while building strong relationships and developing your expertise from day one. Key Responsibilities Collaborating with team members to deliver outstanding service to internal and external clients. Assist in providing statutory valuation and management advice to a wide range of retail and commercial clients. Research and analyse property sales and rentals for statutory valuation purposes. Develop an understanding of rating and taxation principles. Compile formal written advice and presentations. Gain exposure to multi-disciplinary projects covering statutory planning, property economics and urban design. Escalate matters to senior staff to ensure the best outcomes. Build connections with peers in other business units to share knowledge and insights. Join qualified Valuers on property inspections to gain hands‑on experience. Conduct online title and town planning searches to support project work. Review and summarise lease documentation with attention to detail. Research and analyse investment and development transactions. Gather and interpret market data on property sales and rentals. Maintain and update sales and rental databases. Undertake financial analysis and cash flow to support valuations. Prepare clear, well‑structured written advice and presentations. About You We are looking for talented professionals who are purpose-driven, collaborative, and thrive in high-performing environments. You will ideally have: API accredited degree in progress or recently completed. Proven skills in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Effective report writing skills desirable.
