The Opportunity Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is seeking PGY2+ Resident Medical Officers to provide locum support to its Emergency Department. You’ll work under the supervision of Registrars and FACEMs, managing a wide range of acute presentations with full access to escalation pathways and clinical backup. Ideal for junior doctors seeking hands‑on ED exposure in a metropolitan setting with excellent team support. Clinical Environment - What You’ll Gain Exposure to diverse emergency presentations, from minor injuries to resuscitation Daily supervision and teaching from registrars and emergency consultants Involvement in triage support, procedural tasks, documentation, and acute patient care A structured ED team with dedicated junior doctor support and shift handovers Flexible shift times to suit study, rotations, or work‑life balance Eligibility Criteria General AHPRA Registration NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check Australian working rights Willingness to complete onboarding and credentialing Location - Nepean Blue Mountains LHD, NSW This role may be based at Nepean Hospital in Penrith or Hawkesbury District Health Service in Windsor, both within Western Sydney. These sites offer the perfect balance of metro‑level clinical exposure and a more relaxed pace than inner‑city hospitals.
