The Company:

A fast growing established business making their mark in the Qld market delivering turnkey projects, combining design, manufacturing, project management, and installation capabilities. This unique electro-mechanical manufacturer offers in-house capabilities to handle any electrical or mechanical project, ranging from small packaged pump-sets to large turnkey ventures. They design, supply, manufacture, and install water, sewage, and slurry packaged systems, offering both off-the-shelf and custom solutions, all crafted to the highest engineering standards.

The Role:

As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role and hold significant responsibility for overseeing the entire process of designing, supplying, constructing, procuring, commissioning, and controlling project engineering for manufactured pumping products. With full autonomy, you will be the lead of your discipline, exercising ultimate control and direction. This position is based in Brisbane to serve local clientele and offers full remote working opportunities with optional access to the Brisbane office. Occasional travel to regional Queensland is required for project.

Key responsibilities include:

Electrical engineering design experience in the design of MV, LV, underground mining, and custom switchgear solutions, such as custom designed switchboards, pump starters, and pump control systems.

PLC programming expertise for pump control systems.

Adherence to best practices and industry standards in the design processes, ensuring comprehensive, compliant, and cohesive electrical engineered products.

Review and certify engineered drawings, sign off on designs, and ensure compliance with RPEQ certification for electrical engineering designs.

Manage Electrical Engineering turnkey projects including manufactured switchgear products, automation and control, site services, site installation, and commissioning.

Foster effective communication with various departments and clients, promoting a harmonious and productive working environment, resolving technical or logistical issues, and enhancing the company's image through clear and professional communication.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor Degree of Electrical Engineering or Advanced Diploma of Engineering

Demonstrated experience with various forms of low and medium voltage control & distribution systems, pumping control systems & PLC equipment

Membership in Engineers Australia with RPEQ/CPEng/NER credentials

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, along with effective communication skills; a high level of literacy and accuracy is essential.

Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Intranet, Internet, MYOB, AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.

Proven initiative and self-motivation; ability to work collaboratively in a team with strong interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail; ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
