UX Designer (tech) Contract Embrace Innovation // Unconventional Talent Strategist Redefining the Norms About the client Our client is a large, complex enterprise in the middle of a major digital modernisation program. They need a hands on UX Designer who can lead end to end experience work in agile teams, and comfortably design for technical, integrated platforms. You’ll be embedded with delivery squads modernising core services across cloud and enterprise tooling, so you’ll get real influence on how critical systems evolve. Contract details Contract position via consultancy Location: Sydney, hybrid working supported, with on site collaboration as needed Baseline clearance required Duration: initial contract with strong extension potential Why this one's worth a look This is a proper modernisation, you’ll be designing across cloud based services, enterprise workflows, and integrated platforms, with plenty of moving parts and room to shape outcomes. Project environment includes Enterprise modernisation program Cloud, Azure ServiceNow platform Complex system integration .NET based services and tooling Role purpose You will lead and deliver user experience design across multiple agile initiatives. Working closely with product, delivery, engineering, and business stakeholders, you will shape intuitive, accessible, and consistent experiences aligned to an established design system, and grounded in real user needs. Key responsibilities Lead UX design across agile delivery phases, pre discovery, discovery, design, and delivery, embedding user centred practice throughout Facilitate co‑design workshops and interviews with stakeholders including system owners, business areas, and end users Create and document user interface designs, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and functional specifications aligned with the client’s design system Conduct and document user research, synthesize insights into personas and journeys, and present design concepts clearly to stakeholders Identify opportunities for process and technology improvement, contribute to test and learn cycles, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships Partner with engineering and delivery to ensure designs are feasible, implemented well, and iterated based on feedback Required experience and skills Proven UX design experience in large scale, technical, or platform heavy environments Strong capability across discovery, research, interaction design, prototyping, usability testing, and design handover Experience working in agile delivery models alongside product and engineering Confidence designing for integrated ecosystems, enterprise tools, or workflow based services Solid understanding of design systems and accessibility standards, experience working to a system is essential Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills, able to influence without needing a dramatic soundtrack Baseline security clearance Nice to have Experience designing for ServiceNow, ITSM, or similar enterprise workflow platforms Exposure to cloud first programs and modernising legacy services Familiarity working with .NET delivery teams or complex integration contexts Deliverables you’ll own Research plans and artefacts, interview guides, synthesis, personas, journey maps Wireframes and UI designs for key user flows Interactive prototypes for validation and stakeholder alignment Functional specs and design documentation for build and test Usability findings and iteration recommendations Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Consulting Industries Software Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
