Project Manager – Water Infrastructure

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for an opportunity to add value on a regional water project? We’re seeking a proactive and organised professional to lead the design management phase of an infrastructure program, with the potential to transition into full construction management. About the Role You will take the lead in coordinating and managing a team of designers and technical specialists to ensure the timely delivery of key design milestones. As the project advances, there is a strong opportunity for the role to expand into overseeing construction activities, providing a chance to follow the project lifecycle from design through delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams Drive project schedules, deliverables, and reporting requirements Liaise with stakeholders, consultants, and internal teams Maintain compliance with project, safety, and regulatory standards Support or transition into construction management as the project progresses Management of project budgets You’ll Bring Proven experience in project management or similar (water experience preferred) Experience in water infrastructure design and construction Strong competency in managing design teams and consultants Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work autonomously and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment Willingness to work in the Northern Queensland / Cairns region Good grasp of mechanical and civil engineering Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement Contract management experience including tender development/evaluation and contract administration Why Join Us?
