Join to apply for the Data Migration Specialist role at Data#3 This position will work on a major finance transformation initiative to upgrade the ERP platform from SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA. The purpose of this position is to provide high quality data analysis, mapping and modelling to the project. The position will be required to engage and work closely with a range of stakeholders to analyse data needs, gather and document requirements, and develop artefacts. The position will play a critical role in understanding the data required for migration, cleansing, viewing and ultimately reporting. In this role the successful candidate has to work very closely with the project business analyst to build logical/physical data models for the department’s business processes and manage common data model that satisfies requirements. Duties of the role Prepare key data migration products, including the Data Migration Strategy / Approach, Plan, Specifications and data archiving considerations Prepare Data Migration Mapping and transformation specification, Data Migration Test Cases, Data Migration Report Data migration execution including auditing and reconciliation, data extraction, transformation and migration activities. Undertake data profiling on in scope datasets, including identifying, analysis and remediation of data quality issues Create source to target mappings, understand & document complex transformation rules and identify data granularity and map entities to target application Provide timely, strategic and expert advice regarding data requirements, information requirements, business impacts, scope management, and project risks Apply standardised templates, methodologies and processes for data analysis activities and related project documentation Assist stakeholders with User Acceptance Testing Skills and experience Demonstrated experience in data migration for large-scale SAP projects, particularly within finance environments. Demonstrated experience developing data models and associated design artefacts that represent and communicate data requirements for supporting large scale and complex data migrations. Ability to lead and determine suitable data migration performance measures to provide quality assurances to data migration processes (e.g. data cleansing, data quality, reconciliations, etc). Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable system requirements. Demonstrated ability to write complex scripts, queries, and stored procedures to extract and transform data.
