This is a labouring role and will include: Coordinate site access, permits, safety and statutory permissions to perform maintenance activities. Conduct activities as required for major maintenance/breakdown and planned works. Assist in maintaining wastewater house drains, gravity mains and pressure mains including clearing blockages; pipe repair and construction; manhole inspections, repair and construction. Report, clean and disinfect wastewater spills and overflows to the environment. This role will need to participate in the on-call roster and overtime arrangements as required, to resolve out of hours operational issues or emergency works including disaster management. You will also need to have the ability to receive Immunisation against Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B provided through Council. This role will work from our Garbutt Operations Centre. AboutYou Our ideal candidate will have: Mandatory Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD). Confined Space Entry ticket and a good knowledge of confined space entry procedures. Current Drainer's license. Ability to work as part of a team. Strong community and customer relations skills. Strong work ethic.
