Strong knowledge of contemporary educational technologies and learning space design principles. familiarity with LMS integrated tools (e.g., Moodle), audio‑visual technology, and other teaching related digital platforms; and practical experience translating insights into innovative initiatives for rollout across formal and informal learning spaces. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a complex environment – including academic staff, professional/facilities staff, IT specialists, Estate Management and students – and to convey technical or complex information clearly to non‑technical audiences. Sharp analytical skills and a proactive problem‑solving approach. Ability to assess educational and technical needs, identify improvements or innovative solutions, and troubleshoot issues in both physical spaces and digital systems. Capable of gathering and interpreting data to inform decision‑making and project adjustments. Exceptional organisational and time management skills. Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, work independently with minimal supervision, and deliver outcomes in a timely manner while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. A strong collaborative mindset with the ability to work productively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience building positive working relationships across different units or departments and facilitating cooperation to achieve shared project goals. Experience liaising with external suppliers or service providers and knowledge of procurement processes. Ability to write or contribute to technical specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, and manage contracts to ensure deliverables are met and value for money is achieved. Demonstrated enthusiasm for emerging technologies and pedagogies (e.g. interest in AI-driven educational tools or new classroom technologies) and a commitment to continuous improvement. Willingness to stay informed about trends in learning space design and digital education, and the ability to quickly learn and champion new tools or methods.
