The Opportunity We are seeking a proactive and professional People & Culture Advisor to join our growing team. This role provides broad generalist support across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and HR advisory services . You’ll partner closely with managers and employees across multiple sites, helping deliver efficient, compliant, and people‑centric outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR practitioner who thrives in a hands‑on role, balancing day‑to‑day operational support with strategic project involvement. Key Responsibilities Manage end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding across multiple business units. Coordinate pre‑employment checks, contracts, and induction processes. Provide accurate HR advice on employment conditions, policies, and procedures. Support compliance activities including audits, reporting, and data integrity. Assist with performance management, employee relations, and investigations. Partner with managers to build capability, engagement, and a culture of accountability. Participate in HR projects such as system enhancements and policy reviews. Contribute to wellbeing, inclusion and engagement initiatives across the Group. About You You’ll be an adaptable HR professional who combines strong technical knowledge with practical execution. You enjoy building trusted relationships, solving problems, and making things happen. You will bring: 3–5 years’ experience in an HR generalist or advisory role (multi‑site environment ideal). Strong background in recruitment, onboarding, and compliance management. Sound understanding of Fair Work legislation and Modern Awards. Demonstrated experience providing HR advice on performance and conduct matters. High attention to detail, discretion, and stakeholder management capability. Experience with HRIS platforms (Employment Hero, KeyPay, or similar). Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (preferred). Why Join Big River Group?
