Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a compassionate and motivated individual to support our Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS) , helping ensure that community members can access the essential care they need, when and where they need it. Your strong organisation, communication, and commitment to people will play a vital role in creating positive experiences for those travelling for medical services. This is full-time, fixed-term role until 01 October 2026. What’s in it for you? Established in 1992, we’re committed to providing quality services across East Arnhem Land and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary and public health for over 6,000 residents of this remote landscape. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, and a Corporate Office in Darwin, our delivery is focused on 7 health centres across East Arnhem Land and dedicated outreach teams who travel to additional locations. Qualifications The ideal candidate must have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self‑determination; An understanding of the issues faced by Yolngu people living in remote settings; Knowledge and experience working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services; Demonstrate ability to orient and train reception staff to promote client care and efficient systems.
