Your duties will include but not be limited to – Design and implement age‑appropriate learning experiences across indoor and outdoor environments, encouraging children to explore, experiment, and learn through hands‑on activities and play. Create opportunities for growth in physical, social, and emotional skills by offering a range of experiences that build coordination, teamwork, independence, and confidence. Foster communication and early literacy through daily storytelling, music, creative expression, role‑playing, and meaningful group conversations. Monitor and record each child’s development and behaviour, identifying learning milestones as well as any signs that may indicate additional support or care needs. Ensure children’s safety, health, and wellbeing by maintaining awareness of their nutritional, emotional, and physical requirements throughout the day. Build strong relationships with families by sharing regular feedback about their child’s learning progress and collaborating on strategies to support development at home. Contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and community engagement programs to enhance educational quality and maintain alignment with national early childhood standards. Requirements : Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA equivalent. Comprehensive knowledge of theory relating to childhood education and care, professional standards and the Approved learning framework (EYLF), and contemporary understanding of evidence based best practice approaches to teaching and learning. Knowledge of leadership theory and the use of a range of leadership styles. Have a sound knowledge of legislation governing the operation of children’s services, as well as a solid understanding of the quality areas under the National Quality Standard. Have a thorough understanding of the Early Childhood Australia (ECA) Code of Ethics and the service’s Code of Conduct and be able to support other staff in their understanding of these Codes. Ability to coach and mentor early childhood teachers and educators in the development of a robust educational program. The ability to plan, work and manage time effectively with minimal supervision Ability to challenge and support early childhood teachers and educators to improve their approach to teaching children. Well‑developed leadership and self‑motivation skills.
