About the school Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne. In 2025 the School will have 2960 students and employ some 290 staff - 195 teaching and 95 non-teaching. The student enrolment at each campus is at Mt Ridley 1448 Donnybrook 1036 and Kalkallo 476. Ultimately at capacity Hume will have 3640 students (Mt Ridley 1456 Donnybrook 1596 and Kalkallo 588) with a corresponding cohort of teaching and general staff totalling 350 across its three campuses with plans for further expansion. As one of Victorias fastest growing schools it is expected to be one of the largest non-government schools in the state with plans for further expansion. About the role Hume now calls for applications for the position of Learning Enhancement Assistant. This role is full time (1.0 FTE) ongoing and will be based at our Donnybrook campus. The role will commence on Tuesday 27 January 2026 and offers 6 weeks paid annual leave and 7 weeks leave without pay. The Learning Enhancement Assistant is a part of the Learning Enhancement team working under the direction of the Learning Enhancement Coordinator within their area of responsibility. They are responsible for assisting students with additional needs by supporting and extending their learning in the classroom under the guidance and with the cooperation of the classroom teacher. The Learning Enhancement Assistant will also contribute to assisting students develop the strategies and skills necessary to foster learning independence and confidence in order to facilitate a students ongoing progress and attainment of optimal educational outcomes. The Learning Enhancement Assistant is a member of the General Staff and works proactively and collaboratively in a team environment to support and enrich their collective responsibilities. The Learning Enhancement Assistant works in close partnership with the other Learning Enhancement Assistants and class teachers and reports to the Director of Teaching and Learning through the Learning Enhancement Coordinator.
