About the role The Learning Enhancement Assistant is a full‑time (1.0 FTE) position based at the Kalkallo campus, commencing Monday 6 October 2025. The role offers 6 weeks paid annual leave and 7 weeks leave without pay. As part of the Learning Enhancement team under the direction of the Learning Enhancement Coordinator, the Assistant will assist students with additional needs by supporting and extending their learning in the classroom, under the guidance and cooperation of the classroom teacher. The Assistant will contribute to students’ development of strategies and skills necessary to foster learning, independence and confidence, facilitating ongoing progress and optimum educational outcomes. The Assistant is a member of the General Staff, works proactively and collaboratively in a team environment, and reports to the Director of Teaching and Learning through the Learning Enhancement Coordinator. The role involves close partnership with other Learning Enhancement Assistants and class teachers.
