Sharpline Stainless Steel is a Melbourne-based manufacturer specialising in high-quality stainless‑steel benching and equipment for commercial and domestic kitchens. To support our expanding operations, we’re looking for a skilled Welder to join our team. Task & Responsibilities Reviewing technical drawings and job specifications to understand project requirements. Choosing appropriate metal materials and preparing them by cleaning and arranging for use. Cutting metal pieces and components to size using manual tools, cutting torches, and metal‑cutting machinery. Forming and bending metal pipes and sections through mechanical tools, manual techniques, or heat treatment. Accurately positioning and aligning components using measuring tools and hand equipment. Assembling and joining metal parts using welding, riveting, and bolting techniques. Inspecting welds to ensure they meet quality standards for size, depth, and accuracy. Performing finishing processes such as cleaning, polishing, filing, or acid treatment to complete the product. Smoothing out welds by grinding, chiselling, or filing to ensure a clean finish. Qualifications & Experience Certificate III or IV in Engineering (Fabrication Trade) or equivalent. Minimum 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in welding or metal fabrication. Strong understanding of stainless‑steel materials and TIG/MIG welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings accurately. Competence in metal cutting, polishing, and finishing techniques. Commitment to safety, precision, and quality workmanship. Team‑oriented attitude with strong communication and reliability. We are seeking a full‑time welder to work a minimum of 38 hours per week, offering an annual salary of $77,000 plus superannuation .
