Recruitment Specialist @ Recmatrix | IT & Non-IT Hiring | Ex-HCL Role: Contract Location: Sydney, Australia Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extendable) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer . The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience in developing and optimizing Ab Initio graphs (both Continuous Flows and Batch ), performance tuning, and source control. As part of an Agile team , you will work on high‑performance, scalable solutions that meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize Ab Initio graphs (Batch and Continuous Flows) for data integration and ETL processes. Continuously improve graph performance to meet efficiency and scalability requirements. Manage source control and follow best practices for code promotion within the Ab Initio environment. Write and optimize SQL queries for data manipulation and use shell scripting for process automation. Work closely with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality solutions. Diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring solutions are scalable and maintainable. Communicate technical challenges and solutions effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of Ab Initio development experience (specifically Continuous Flows and Batch processing ). Proven expertise in performance tuning of Ab Initio graphs. Strong proficiency in SQL (any RDBMS). Basic knowledge of shell scripting . Experience with source control (e.g., Git, SVN). Solid understanding of database concepts and networking fundamentals . Experience working in an Agile environment . Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with real‑time applications and API‑driven development . Familiarity with cloud‑hosted Ab Initio solutions . Knowledge of secure coding practices for building resilient and secure solutions.
