The primary purpose of the Communications Coordinator is to provide administrative and project support to the Strategic Communications team core functions in internal and external communications activity and outputs, and administrative, coordination and delivery support for opening nights and stakeholder events. The role requires a strong communicator with excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills, enabling them to manage tasks, resources, and timelines effectively. They are dependable, detail‑oriented, and have a talent for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure success. This position requires a relevant tertiary qualification in communications and/or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in communications, storytelling, engagement, culture and change communications. Full‑time fixed‑term position to June 2026. Salary band 3.1 $78,901.68 p.a. plus superannuation. The Strategic Communications team is responsible for external and internal communications, narrative and storytelling, strategic and campaign‑based media, leadership positioning, reputation and issues management, change communications, internal culture, publications and stakeholder engagement. Through excellent communication in multiple channels to a diversity of audiences, the team builds a compelling narrative around Arts Centre Melbourne’s purpose, impact and value to the people of Victoria and the creative industries, and in generating advocacy for the Reimagining Arts Centre Melbourne project, central to the Victorian Government’s Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation.
