About Civil Engineering Draftsperson RMA Services Pty Ltd is a dynamic organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality civil infrastructure solutions. Based in Moorebank, NSW, our team works collaboratively across projects, from initial design and drafting through to construction support and documentation. Position Overview We are seeking a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team. In this role you will produce detailed drawings and documentation to support civil engineering projects — including site layout, earthworks, stormwater / drainage, retention systems, roadworks, and general civil infrastructure. You will work closely with engineers, project managers and construction teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated into drawings and that documentation complies with relevant standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities Prepare and revise detailed civil engineering drawings using CAD (preferably AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) for earthworks, drainage, roads, retaining walls, etc. Work from design briefs, sketches, specifications and coordinate with engineers and project leads to determine drafting requirements. Produce plans, sections, profiles, details and schedules in accordance with company standards, client requirements and relevant Australian specifications. Assist with drafting documentation for approvals, tender submissions and construction phases. Collaborate with engineers to ensure drawing accuracy, completeness and constructability. Maintain drawing registers, revision control and ensure drawings are issued following internal QA / QC procedures. Assist in checking drawings for compliance with standards, clearances, levels and specifications. Provide ad-hoc drafting support and revisions throughout project lifecycle including responding to RFIs or construction amendments. Support the team with plotting, layout checks, file management and coordination of drawing files. Skills & Experience Required Minimum 1-2 years experience in civil engineering drafting or a relevant civil infrastructure environment. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent). Good understanding of civil infrastructure elements – e.g., earthworks, stormwater drainage, roads, retaining structures. Familiarity with Australian civil engineering standards, specifications and drawing conventions. Strong technical drawing skills, attention to detail and ability to interpret design documentation. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work collaboratively in a team. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic project environment. Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn and grow professionally. Valid NSW driver licence (preferred) and ability to travel to site when required.
