Ensure all mechanical work is completed safely and to company standards. Lead, motivate, and develop your team, supporting training and performance growth. Supervise all workshop staff, contractors, and subcontractors. Conduct daily briefings and regular toolbox talks to keep the team aligned and informed. Oversee maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure safety and reliability. Manage resources, including labour, materials, and inventory, to keep production running smoothly. Monitor production, costs, and quality, resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with other departments to achieve operational goals Keep workshop machinery and equipment in top shape to minimise downtime. Track production, inventory, and maintenance, providing updates to management. Collaborate with production, engineering, logistics, and quality teams to keep operations running smoothly. What we need from you Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy workshop and field maintenance, with supervisory experience. Trade qualified HD Mechanic Experienced in leading operations across multiple functions, including budget and delivery responsibilities. Strong leader with a proven ability to recruit, motivate, and manage a team. Focused on safety, able to identify risks and take action to reduce hazards. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and mechanical skills. Experience with mobile mining equipment and component rebuilds. Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Skilled in coaching and mentoring workshop staff. Good written and verbal communication skills.
