Claims Specialist Longitude opened its doors for business in 2012 and quickly built a reputation as one of Australia’s leading strata insurance specialist underwriting agencies. We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Claims Specialist with a proven track record in managing Property or Strata claims for a 12‑month fixed term contract, with the possibility to be made permanent. The role sits within the Longitude Insurance Claims Team, supporting the Longitude Insurance agency. This is a busy role and the ability to work accurately and manage multiple stakeholders whilst under pressure is paramount. Previous experience in an underwriting agency environment is desirable but not essential. Responsibilities Provide a professional claims handling service to clients designed to provide solutions, achieve best possible cost outcomes and claims experience and enhance the client/broker/insurer relationship. Manage an end‑to‑end portfolio of Strata Property claims within a delegated level of authority. Respond to claim notifications and service enquiries within internal and external compliance requirements. Liaise with customers, internal and external parties to coordinate claim resolution. Ensure professional conduct is maintained at all times to positively promote the Company and insurance industry. Qualifications Two or more years property claims experience. Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment, manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Knowledge of State/Territory specific legislation as it applies to insurance related matters. Literacy in technology and systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
