Data Remediation Support Officer

About the Role The Data Remediation Support Officer will support the Northern Territory Police Force (NTPF) Digital Transformation Program which aims to enhance policing and community safety through improved data integrity and operational efficiency. The role involves processing and validating data to meet quality standards identifying anomalies and contributing to continuous improvement in data management practices. Key Responsibilities Accurately process validate and manage data within agreed timeframes. Ensure compliance with privacy security and records management standards. Identify and report data quality issues to improve processes. Collaborate with team members and other units to resolve data‑related issues. Follow defined service quality standards and operational procedures. Contribute to the improvement of data entry and validation procedures. Requirements Clearance Requirements : National Police Clearance and PF166. Start Date : As soon as possible. Essential Skills and Experience Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Experience in high‑volume data or records processing environments (e.g. policing, justice, health). Familiarity with standard operating procedures and quality checks. Understanding of privacy security and records management in a public sector context. Strong interpersonal and communication skills focused on accuracy and quality. Desirable Skills and Experience Qualifications in IT data management or a related field. Experience in government public safety or emergency services. Required Skills Key Requirements Mandatory TSPV Security Clearance (candidates must hold clearance prior to applying; sponsorship to upgrade is not available). Australian Citizenship. Willingness to undergo ASDs Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) including psychological testing and interview. Technical Competencies Strong knowledge of data engineering principles including pipelines models metadata management and interoperability. Experience with data storage transformation integration and analytics solutions. Understanding of Defence data architecture and security frameworks. Familiarity with relevant programming languages tools and platforms (e.g. Python SQL Spark cloud‑based data platforms). Behavioural Competencies Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Provides expert advice and guidance to enable the organisation to get maximum value from its data assets. modelling and design : Level 4 (SFIA) Investigates enterprise data requirements where there is some complexity and ambiguity. Plans own data modelling and design activities selecting appropriate techniques and the correct level of detail for meeting assigned objectives. Provides advice and guidance to others using the data structures and associated components. : Level 4 (SFIA) Identifies and prioritises appropriate measures scales and targets. Supports projects functions or teams in the development of measurement methods. Specifies base and derived measures which support agreed information needs. Specifies how to collect and store the data for each required measure. Provides guidance on collection of data. Designs reports and reporting formats. assurance : Level 4 (SFIA) Plans organises and conducts assessment activity and determines whether appropriate quality control has been applied. Conducts formal assessments or reviews for given domain areas suppliers or parts of the supply chain. Collates collects and examines records analyses the evidence and drafts all or part of formal compliance reports. Determines the risks associated with findings and non‑compliance and proposes corrective actions. Provides advice and guidance in the use of organisational standards. Contract The buyer has chosen to use the simple contract for this procurement. Required Education Clearance Required: National Police Clearance PF166Formal qualifications in a relevant of the Firearms Act 1997 (NT) and the National Firearms with government data or case‑management systems.
