A full range of paediatric and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds. Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries. The RCH is committed to the Child Safe Standards. The Position/s Full‑time 12 months commencing 2 February 2026 Term 1: RCH Oncology Term 2: Sunshine General Paediatrics Term 3: RCH Cardiology Term 4: RCH Nights, Relief and Annual Leave (28 December – 31 January) Full‑time 12 months commencing 2 February 2026 Term 1: RCH Neurology Term 2: Northern General Paediatrics Term 3: RCH Gastroenterology Term 4: Relief, Annual Leave and RCH Nights Full‑time 12 months commencing 2 February 2026 OR commencing March by negotiation Term 1: Relief and RCH Cardiology Term 2: Monash Nights (4 weeks – Total 14 shifts) and Annual Leave Term 3: Northern General Paediatrics Term 4: Monash ED Full‑time 12 months commencing 2 February 2026 OR commencing March by negotiation Term 1: Annual Leave, Relief and Monash Nights (4 weeks – Total 14 shifts) Term 2: Sunshine General Paediatrics Term 3: RCH Oncology Term 4: RCH General Medicine (Note: Annual Leave can be taken in this Term if start date is in March) Full time for 12 months commencing 2 February 2026 Term 1: Annual Leave, Relief and RCH Nights Term 2: RCH Gastroenterology Term 3 and 4: RCH Psychiatry Half‑time for 6 months commencing 3 August 2026 Term 3: Relief, Annual Leave and Monash Nights (4 weeks – Total 7 shifts) Term 4: Monash ED Eligibility To be eligible, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of dedicated paediatric experience, including 6 months of NICU. Applicants must also hold general registration with Ahpra. Alignment To Training These positions are accreditable for Basic Training (with DPE approval) for trainees already in Victorian Basic Paediatric Training, and are also accreditable for Advanced Training (if the rotations are requirements under your specific AT program).
