With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high‑performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. Your Role We’re expanding our team with up to three new roles, offering hands‑on experience across diverse high and low speed production equipment in a modern, fully climate‑controlled facility. Support safety by identifying hazards and following Thales work authorisation processes. Carry out fault finding, repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance and documenting work Operate production equipment, perform inspections, and help optimise plant performance. Maintain quality and inventory records while identifying improvement opportunities. Collaborate with technical teams and provide guidance or training to operators and apprentices. Your Experience Certificate III in Engineering in one of the following fields: Fitter and Machinist Mechanical Fabrication Well‑developed fault‑finding and diagnostic skills Ideally possess previous experience in a similar position or environment Dedicated to safe work practices Australian Defence Roles & Security A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance. Additional information with regards to clearances is available from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role. The Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) is applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
