Tradesperson (Mechanical) ) Department of Health, Tasmania Overview The Facilities Management and Engineering Services team, located at the Royal Hobart Hospital, provides maintenance and engineering services across the Southern region of Tasmania. Role Member of the Facilities and Engineering Team responsible for maintenance, repair, and installation of all mechanical trade‑related plant, equipment, services and facilities. Maintain specialised equipment to ensure reliability, including air‑conditioning, sanitizers, and other mechanical equipment per statutory requirements. Support a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment in health care facilities. Work day shifts plus on‑call commitments and participation in an on‑call roster. Travel to various Southern facilities as required. Qualifications Relevant trades qualification. Desirable: Previous experience in the health‑care industry. Current driver’s licence. Appointment Details Permanent, full‑time day worker position. Works 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary & Benefits Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation contribution. Salary packaging includes living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 per FBT year, plus other applicable benefits. Professional development pathways.
