The Team: Facilities Management and engineering services are a small team located at the Royal Hobart Hospital, servicing the southern region of Tasmania. The Facilities team consists of both trades and administration staff providing maintenance services to the Southern region of Tasmania. The Role: Be an effective member of the Facilities and Engineering Team responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of all mechanical trade‑related plant, equipment, services and facilities within the Department’s area of responsibility. Maintain specialised equipment to ensure reliability of all mechanical equipment and services, including air‑conditioning and sanitizers, in accordance with statutory requirements. Support a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment in health care facilities in accordance with statutory requirements. Work day hours plus on‑call duties and participation in an on‑call roster. Travel may be required to work at any Southern facility. Details of Appointment: Permanent full‑time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum, with a 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
