Mechanical Tradesperson Transport for NSW – Yennora, NSW, AU (Job reference: ). Permanent Full‑time position. Salary range: $1,418.40 – $1,569.80 per week plus superannuation and allowances. Join our Maintenance and Delivery team to work on a 9‑day fortnight, Monday to Friday, maintaining and repairing plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment. You’ll handle installation, commissioning and modification of complex hydraulic/pneumatic machinery and will often supervise apprentices or staff assisting other mechanics. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on a wide range of plant and vehicle equipment. Install, commission, and modify complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Supervise apprentices and junior mechanics when required. Identify, communicate, and report environmental hazards and safety issues. Maintain high quality standards and meet project deadlines. Qualifications Completed a Heavy Vehicle Mechanical trade or a Plant Mechanical trade. Current unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver’s licence. Willingness to obtain a Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid licence and a Construction Industry White Card. Strong problem‑solving and fault‑diagnosis skills. Proactive approach to customer complaints and efficient service delivery. Demonstrated safety focus and ability to identify hazards. Experience working with a variety of Heavy Vehicles highly regarded. AIS Examiner Ticket and welding or metal fabrication experience highly desirable. Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements. Reside within a reasonable distance from Yennora Depot.
