About the role A career with CFO Advisory within our Financial Risk Advisory team offers the opportunity to work with clients to deliver compliant, commercial outcomes and to develop and implement practical advice and recommendations on a range of complex accounting, financial and regulatory challenges. Responsibilities Develop and enhance financial and regulatory reporting control environments as part of finance function transformation. Design and implement enhanced operating models to embed clear accountability and ownership across end‑to‑end organisations. Build finance technology and data strategies, including embedding AI into finance processes to promote effective decision‑making and efficient reporting. Implement robust data governance practices to build trust in data and support high‑quality reporting. Work in cross‑divisional teams on pre‑ and post‑deal finance function set‑up engagements, supporting clients to realise value and synergies from merger and acquisition activities. Provide technical accounting advice under IFRS, AASB, and US‑GAAP. Attributes Energy and hunger to learn new skills and embrace complex problems in multi‑disciplinary teams. Experience & qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications including CA or equivalent, coupled with experience in audit, advisory or assurance in professional services or financial services sectors. Strong understanding of the AASB framework and/or the Australian regulatory environment (e.g. ASIC, APRA). Prior experience in a finance function or leading large complex finance projects, including understanding of financial systems and processes. Experience in leading teams and providing training and guidance to build performance. Additional information Ability to travel as required.
