Your opportunity. Be part of something bigger. The Project Manager will lead the delivery of key construction projects across the seven communities where Miwatj Health operates. This includes upgrades to the Galiwin’ku Health Centre, a new renal services facility, and multiple new staff accommodation builds. Using established project management methodologies, the Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all phases of construction ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets required quality, safety, and compliance standards aligned with community and funding body expectations. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 2 years. The role requires regular travel to remote communities across East Arnhem Land, including travel on small aircraft. Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling YolÅ‹u powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations. To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination, along with a deep understanding of the issues faced by YolÅ‹u people living in remote communities. You will bring proven experience in managing construction projects, ideally within remote locations, with a solid understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and compliance with relevant legislation and building codes. Your strong leadership capabilities, clear communication style, and practical problem-solving skills will enable you to effectively coordinate stakeholders, contractors, and timelines to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
