These roles are essential in supporting accurate communication between health professionals and patients who are Deaf, hearing impaired, or from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Two Positions Are Available: 1 x Staff Interpreter – Arabic 1 x Staff Interpreter – Dari/Pashto The successful applicants will play a vital role in ensuring patients can access safe, inclusive and effective healthcare through clear and culturally appropriate communication. What You’ll Be Doing Provide accurate, confidential interpreting services across clinical and community healthcare settings Apply a range of interpreting modes including dialogue, consecutive, simultaneous, chuchotage, group and sight translation Deliver interpreting services face-to-face, via telephone and video platforms Support culturally safe and patient-centred care Maintain accurate documentation and comply with medical record and administrative procedures Participate in ongoing training, professional development and service improvement initiatives Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams About You You are a qualified and professional interpreter with strong cultural awareness, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice. You are adaptable, reliable, and confident working across a variety of clinical environments. You understand the importance of accurate communication in healthcare and are passionate about improving patient outcomes.
