Traffic Engineer – Lake Macquarie City Council – Speers Point, New South Wales Location: Speers Point, New South WalesEmployment: Full-timeSalary: $101,090 to $117,483 per year plus 12% superannuationJob type: Permanent Description Play a key role in shaping how people move around our city, improving safety, connectivity and long-term transport outcomes for Lake Macquarie. Responsibilities Work as part of a collaborative team delivering strategic transport solutions. Influence key projects that enhance community safety and connectivity. Prepare road safety audits, traffic studies, and technical investigations to identify improvement opportunities. Prepare and present reports and recommendations to Council committees and stakeholders. Manage community consultation relating to transport projects and infrastructure. Review Traffic Management Plans for construction works and events. Provide technical advice on development proposals and infrastructure asset planning.> Support project management and delivery of transport infrastructure within budgets and timeframes. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic/Transportation Planning, or equivalent. Experience in strategic traffic planning, traffic modelling, and development assessment. Skilled in community consultation and stakeholder engagement. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Current NSW Driver's Licence. Benefits Competitive salary from $101,090 to $117,483 per year plus 12% superannuation. 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance applies to degree-qualified engineers. Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with reviews available to support movement through the salary range. Weekly pay.
