Job Description Home Care Worker (3) - VIC Metro West - PPT - Experienced role at Silverchain Group We are looking for a Cert III qualified person with at least 6 months experience in a similar role to join our team in the Deer Park 3023 area. Paid CPR and First Aid courses. What We’re Looking For Enjoy having variety in their day. Build positive relationships with clients and their families. Can handle challenging situations without taking them personally. Work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, asking for help when needed. In Addition, You Will Need A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle. Certificate III or above in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability. Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including personal care, manual handling, hoist training and assisting with medications. The role As a Care Worker, you will provide aged care clients with home help services such as: General housekeeping and making beds. Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors. Washing, folding and ironing laundry. Meal preparation and grocery shopping. And personal care services such as: Assisting clients to get out of bed, shower and dress. Assisting with medication management. Assisting with mobility and therapy goals. Providing complex care for clients with high care needs, such as dementia. Providing social and emotional support. Transporting clients to lifestyle activities or appointments. Helping family caregivers with breaks or other responsibilities.
