Job Description A rare opportunity has opened for an experienced Insolvency and Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our client’s high‑performing boutique team in Sydney. If you're looking for greater autonomy, hands‑on client work, and complex matters—this role delivers on all fronts. You’ll work independently on complex files, regularly appear in superior courts, and engage directly with clients and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include Advising on corporate and personal insolvency matters, including liquidations, bankruptcies, administrations, and receiverships Acting in Federal and Supreme Court litigation (with or without counsel) Drafting pleadings, affidavits, legal opinions, and settlement agreements Leading disputes involving security enforcement, voidable transactions, director claims and debt recovery Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice About the Firm Our client is a respected boutique law firm specialising in insolvency, restructuring, and commercial disputes, with a client base that includes liquidators, trustees, directors, and mid‑size businesses. Known for their pragmatic and commercially sound legal advice, this firm delivers top‑tier results without the red tape and hierarchy of larger practices. Key Requirements Minimum 5 years PAE in commercial litigation and insolvency Strong courtroom experience across Federal and State jurisdictions Ability to manage files autonomously and provide strategic direction Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client management skills Commercial thinker with the ability to balance legal precision with practical solutions Desire to work in a lean, agile team with direct client exposure Interested in this position?
