We're seeking a Spatial Services Manager to drive the growth and uplift of spatial services at Urbis, partnering with our Economics, Property, and Future State business units. Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Head of Spatial Products, you'll be part of a national leadership group shaping the future of spatial capability across the organisation. In this senior role, you will take a proactive approach to engaging stakeholders, building awareness of spatial capability, identifying opportunities, and positioning spatial services as a valued partner in delivering client and organisational success. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to develop compelling proposals and solutions, securing work that grows the impact and commercial performance of the business. Once the work is won, you'll lead your team to deliver a diverse range of projects to the highest standard, ensuring quality, timeliness, and financial performance, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. As a Spatial Services Manager, you will: Lead spatial service delivery for your business unit focus, setting clear direction, building capability, and fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture. Partner with internal stakeholders and clients to design and deliver spatial solutions that align with organisational priorities and create measurable value. Proactively identify opportunities and contribute to tenders and proposals that grow the scope, impact, and commercial success of spatial services. Oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and financial performance in collaboration with project managers. Guide and contribute to technical delivery, ensuring best practice and innovation in methods and outputs. Manage and enhance spatial products and tools to improve efficiency, capability, and commercial outcomes. About you. In addition to yours, we're keen to connect with you if you bring the following experiences and attributes: Tertiary qualification in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. At least 8 years' experience providing expert spatial advice and managing complex programmes of work, ideally in a private consulting environment. A self‑starter approach, with the ability to proactively engage with business units to identify opportunities, build awareness of spatial capability, and grow impact. Proven ability to operate with a consultancy mindset, partnering with internal stakeholders and clients to design and deliver innovative spatial solutions. Advanced knowledge and experience with desktop GIS, enterprise/web GIS platforms, data manipulation, task automation, and solution development.
