The Opportunity This is a 13-month fixed term opportunity, to play a pivotal role within our Thrive Hub, specifically Financial Wellbeing. Working directly with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, business SMEs, and other stakeholders, this role is accountable for leading the day-to-day prioritisation, scoping, and management of the agile backlog for their team / s. This includes running continuous discovery activities as required to identify customer pain points, validate commercial opportunities, scope MVPs and multi-variant tests, assess platform enhancements via technical spikes, facilitating feature slicing sessions / backlog grooming, as well as translating customer insights from qualitative / quantitative analysis into new features / enablers and monitoring on-going performance metrics. The Digital Product Manager acts as the domain expert within their team / s and is responsible for building deep domain knowledge of the business, customer and channel performance, working in partnership with the broader Digital Product Team and leads from engineering, design and the business to ensure their roadmap is customer‑centred, informed by insights and aligned to OKRs. Acting as a champion for our customers, this role will in indirectly lead and influence a broad range of stakeholders to inspire and connect people to the 'why' behind the 'what' and build an inclusive culture of trust, collaboration and connection through Medibank's values. Key Responsibilities Digital channel performance & user experience: Accountable for the performance of Medibank's digital experiences across mobile platforms, customer satisfaction and user experience. This includes regular reporting, monitoring and evaluation of feature performance metrics vs targets and OKRs. Define features & enablers for delivery: Accountable for defining team‑level user stories / features / enablers in collaboration with design, engineering and business SMEs. This includes breaking down features into detailed use cases, evaluating value vs effort, facilitating ideation and customer validation activities as required and scoping user stories for delivery, evaluating their performance and iterating quickly. Product backlog management: Accountable for managing the product backlog, including on‑going prioritisation and grooming to ensure a balanced mix of discovery activities, design and delivery‑ready work is maintained at all times. This includes balancing new feature development, optimisation, platform uplifts, bug / incident remediation and triaging of unplanned items as required. Accountable for the proactive engagement of design, engineering, marketing and other business stakeholders, to ensure digital product / feature performance, user experience vision, roadmap and backlog for your team / s – including priorities of deliverables and solution approaches are clearly communicated and transparent at all times. Product leadership & collaboration: Accountable for cultivating a culture of trust, transparency and customer‑centricity across your team / s and the wider business. Lead with a growth mindset and collaborate openly to drive a practice of continuous improvement for Medibank's products and services as well as for team / s ways of working. Must haves Min 5+ years' working as a digital product manager within a cross‑functional agile delivery team. Demonstrated ability in digital product discovery, delivery and optimisation techniques; including opportunity sizing, ideation and MVP definition, feature slicing, prioritisation frameworks, customer testing / validation and backlog management. Demonstrated ability leading digital product strategy, including discovery and delivery with a cross‑functional team (UX, Design, BA, and Developers) from high‑level feature definition through to execution and go to market. Demonstrated success in structured problem solving that includes problem definition, hypotheses validation, analysis planning and facilitating discussions. Understanding of technical platforms and principles, with a demonstrated ability of working closely with solution architects, technical business analysts and developers to uncover, understand and shape technology requirements and capabilities as part of product definition. Experience working with digital analytics platforms to garner insight and understand user behaviour. Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on being able to clearly articulate and defend product decisions. Demonstrated creative and analytical problem‑solving skills, including fluency with qual and quant analysis. Experience delivering key outcomes autonomously working in collaboration with a cross‑functional development team. The ability to deliver strong results and ensure information is effectively communicated to key stakeholders and actioned.
