We are seeking a visionary, highly structured and deeply capable Head of Technology to shape, deliver and govern the technology environment that underpins our national expansion, client experience and operational performance. This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead a modern technology function at scale. About the Role The Head of Technology is the firm’s senior technology leader, responsible for the end‑to‑end strategy, architecture, performance and evolution of Law Partners’ technology landscape. Reporting to the COO, you will balance strategic leadership with practical delivery oversight, setting clear direction while ensuring our systems remain stable, scalable, secure and integrated. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role for a leader who can think strategically, execute methodically and build confidence across the firm. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the firm’s technology strategy aligned to business goals. Build and maintain a single, prioritised firm‑wide technology roadmap. Drive standardisation, simplification and modernisation of the environment. Establish governance frameworks that support informed decision‑making. Advise the COO and prepare Board‑ready insights, reporting and business cases. Digital Platforms, Systems & Product Lead the direction and integration of enterprise platforms across the firm. Champion user‑centred design, workflow optimisation and digital transformation. Build an innovation roadmap that identifies emerging technologies and pilot opportunities. Product Development Own the strategy, performance and roadmap for our bespoke systems. Establish and govern the full software lifecycle including requirements, design, development, testing and release. Maintain development standards, documentation and architectural integrity. Oversee internal and external developers to ensure quality and consistency. Govern testing and QA to ensure stable, predictable releases. IT Operations & Service Delivery Provide strategic oversight of IT Operations, ensuring alignment to architecture and risk. Set expectations for SLAs, KPIs, dashboards and operating standards. Develop and maintain enterprise data and reporting platforms. Maintain principles and standards for system integrations, APIs, data flows and automations. Lead relationships with MSPs, telephony providers and software vendors. Ensure commercial value, SLA compliance and architectural alignment. Provide transparency on technology costs and long‑term investment planning. Business Continuity, Resilience & Incident Management Set the firm’s standards for operational resilience, DR and business continuity. Provide executive oversight during major incidents. Data Enablement & Analytics Lead the firm’s long‑term data and analytics strategy. Ensure readiness for advanced analytics, forecasting and AI opportunities. Cyber Security & Technology Risk Develop the firm’s cybersecurity strategy and lead maturity uplift. Oversee penetration testing, audits and firmwide cyber awareness programmes. Provide Board‑level reporting on cyber posture, incidents and risks. Lead and develop the technology team including IT Operations, development and data/analytics. Build a culture of accountability, clarity, reliability and continuous improvement. Partner with HR to uplift digital capability across the firm. Budget & Cost Management Own the Technology budget and long‑term cost strategy. Ensure technology investments link directly to strategic priorities and measurable value.
