Maintenance Supervisor – Light Vehicles Yancoal MTW is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with strong front‑line leadership experience to join our Light Vehicle team on a full‑time basis. About the Business We are Australia’s largest pure‑play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. Mt Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is an open‑cut mine located 15 kilometres south‑west of Singleton in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. The MTW Mine is the largest open‑cut operation in the region, employing approximately 1,450 people who reside in the local and surrounding communities. Job Tasks and Responsibilities Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for the safe and effective execution of Light Vehicle Maintenance activities whilst working a Day/Afternoon roster, Monday to Friday (2 panel rotating shifts, 40 hours). Effective execution of priority equipment ensuring safety, quality, cost and timely delivery of maintenance activities. Leading, mentoring and effectively managing a multi‑skilled crew to deliver output. Planning, scheduling and coordinating the day‑to‑day work, assigning clear and achievable tasks to team members. Prioritising tasks to maintain machine availability for departments. Ensuring all team members are engaged through clear understanding of role accountabilities and performance measures by providing regular feedback on performance. Contributing to continuous improvement and optimisation of site systems and assets. Assisting with record management and troubleshooting as required. Skills and Experience Relevant trade qualifications. Can‑do attitude, positively impacting culture. Demonstrated supervisory experience. Experience in coordination of maintenance tasks. Effective time management and prioritisation skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Hands‑on solution‑focused approach to problem solving. Demonstrated skills in driving operational excellence.
