About the role The Water Quality Team Member supports the maintenance and safe operation of pools and water attractions by conducting routine testing, cleaning, and maintenance duties. This is an entry level position for individuals aged 18 and above. Full training is provided. Water Quality Inspectors play a vital role in ensuring clean, safe, and operational aquatic environments for all guests. Roles & Responsibilities Perform hourly water testing and chemical balancing as per set procedures. Record all water chemistry results accurately in logbooks or digital systems. Monitor and maintain pool water levels. Clean and maintain filters, chlorinators, skimmers, and pool vacuum systems. Inspect and maintain dosing and metering equipment (training provided). Assist with scooping, vacuuming, and surface cleaning of pools. Conduct plant room checks and ensure spaces are clean and hazard‑free. Support minor repairs and report any faults or safety concerns to supervisors. Participate in scheduled maintenance procedures for pool equipment. Follow instructions and complete daily task checklists. Attend team meetings and safety briefings. Cooperate with other Facilities team members and park departments as needed. Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Use all safety and personal protective equipment correctly. Demonstrate safe work behaviours and lead by example. Report any WHS incidents, injuries, or near misses to your Manager and First Aid immediately. Actively promote hazard and near‑miss reporting. Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss safety topics and contribute to improvements. Requirements Education: Water Quality Essentials Training (provided by Raging Waters Sydney). Manual Handling Training Confined space training Working at Heights training Manual Drivers Licence Forklift licence Languages: Fluent English Skills: Basic communication and teamwork skills; Ability to follow instructions and procedures; Physically fit and capable of climbing towers and working outdoors; Attention to detail and commitment to safety; Ability to remain calm and professional in varied weather and guest conditions. Experience: No prior experience necessary; training provided. Qualifications / Additional Criteria Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to work flexible working hours including weekends, early morning starts (from 5am to 9pm), evenings and public holidays. Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct policy. Represent the Company well internally and externally. Be able to work in all weather conditions. Carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by your Direct Manager, General Manager, or any member of the Management Team. Adhere to the Employee Handbook content and requirements. Smoking in the workplace is allowed in designated smoking areas only permitted by the applicable legislation. Must be physically fit; physical requirements include walking, carrying, lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, squatting, sitting, standing, twisting and repetitious movement. Pay Conditions This is a casual position from October to April, requiring flexible hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays during the season. Must be available to work a minimum of twice per week during the peak season 15 December to 1 February. The hourly rates are in accordance with the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award. Water Quality Team Members aged 20 years or older are paid at a Grade 3 hourly rate of $ per hour plus 25% casual loading ($ per hour, including casual loading). Different rates apply for applicants 19 years of age and under. Penalty rates apply for Sundays and Public Holidays. Benefits Free admission to Raging Waters Sydney.
