FORMWORK CREW LEADING HAND & CARPENTERS WANTED MPA Construction (VIC) Pty Ltd – Melbourne VIC We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Formwork Crew Leading Hand & Carpenters to join our Structures team. Based across Melbourne Metro & Regional areas. This role involves hands on supervising and leading the installation and operation of structural slab formwork systems (such as Omni Tables & Dayton Pan System, Conventional Framework and similar) on multi‑storey residential and commercial projects valued between $40–60 million. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a crew installing and operating structural slab formwork systems Manage productivity, labour, and materials to achieve daily and project targets Coordinate crane lifts, formwork deliveries & produce materials list in line with site sequencing and safety procedures Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all SWMS and site standards Liaise with the Site and Structures Managers to plan and execute screen movements Conduct inspections to ensure quality, and system compliance Train and mentor crew members to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety Successful Candidate Requirements Valid Construction Industry (White) Card 4-5 years’ experience in formwork, including 2-4 years in a leading hand or supervisory role Proven experience with structural slab formwork systems (Omniform Tables, Dayton Pan Stems and Conventional framework, or similar) Ability to read and interpret drawings Strong communication and leadership skills Reliable, safety‑focused, and detail‑oriented All applications must include a resume outlining previous experience and relevant project history.
