We are seekingan experienced and passionate Senior Ranger to join our highly skilled andgrowing Regulatory Compliance team to make a true and meaningful impact on ourcommunity. About the Role As a Senior Ranger youwill provide leadership, coaching and support to members of the Ranger team andwill uphold and advocate a culture that supports efficiencies as well as thedelivery of exceptional customer experiences by the Ranger team. You will perform thefull range of Ranger duties, including investigating, assessing and managing arange of enforcement activities, including but not limited to animal/stockcontrol, litter, illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles and articles, parkingregulation and patrols of public lands. As the Senior Ranger, youwill manage complex complaints, correspondence and enquiries, take initiativeto drive best practice solutions, engage in stakeholder consultation andnegotiation to effectively resolve issues, whilst promoting public educationand voluntary compliance. Additionally, you willenforce the compliance of applicable legislation, regulations and Councilpolicies, whilst keeping abreast of any changes in laws/policies. You will undertakeinvestigations by gathering evidence to substantiate legislation breaches andprepare investigative reports and documentation in support of legal actionand/or prosecutions, ensuring accurate records are maintained. About You With a Certificate IV in Local Government(Regulatory Services), or equivalent relevant experience and training, ideallywithin a Ranger, law enforcement or regulatory role, and will have experience handlinganimals and livestock, and impounding vehicles. You will have experience interpreting and applyingrelevant legislation, regulations, and policies, preferably within a LocalGovernment context. Contemporary industry knowledge and experience inconducting investigations, court procedures and interview skills will beessential. In addition, you will be a strong leader with theproven ability to mentor staff, as well as work independently and as aproductive member of a team to contribute to the fulfilment of team goals. The following are also essential requirements ofthe role: Flexible in the hours that you can work across a 7-day rotating roster Ability to work on call The role is a permanent full-time position,working 38 hours per week, on a rotating 7-day roster with a base salary rangeof $84,237 up to $ 93,503 per year based ondemonstrated skills and experience + 12% p.a. super + commuter use vehicle.
