About the Role We have a role available for a Project Data Services Manager to join our Defence division. This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in South Australia. About the role You will lead and oversee a team responsible for the processing, delivery, and maintenance of contractual asset data with both Defence (GEMS) and internal (ServiceNow) clients. Your key responsibilities will include : Developing and implementing a plan to ensure the maintenance and integrity of defence data in accordance with defence standards. Leading defence contract operations personnel in reviewing, validating, and uploading asset data in accordance with defence standards. Fostering continual improvement of processes within internal systems (GEMS & ServiceNow) to improve user access and information. Managing and monitoring data security risks within Service Stream and Defence, analysing data integrity, and developing continuity plans in compliance with ISO 27001. Managing requests for asset data changes from internal and external sources on behalf of Defence, including creation and updates. Training of staff and stakeholders in the use of Defence systems to access and update relevant estate information, including but not limited to ERIM, GDL, GEMS and NSIMS. About you Extensive experience in data management and processing, ideally within the Defence sector. Experience in managing data security risks and compliance with ISO 27001 standards. Experience in the development and implementation of data maintenance plans. Demonstrated experience in fostering continual improvement processes and a proven track record of leading teams in validating, uploading and reviewing asset data. Familiarity with Defence standards and data systems, including ERIM, GDL, GEMS, and NSIMS. Tertiary qualification in Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field is highly desirable. Certifications in Defence data systems (e.g GEMS) would be advantageous. You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
