Sedgman is in the process of recruiting for a skilled Layout Designer with hands‑on experience on projects ranging from conceptual design to detailed engineering. This position involves working on a diverse array of projects across the Mineral Processing industry. You’ll be involved in the entire design process, from concept to detailed design, with a clear focus on layout expertise. Key Responsibilities Ability to take an engineering concept and convert it into a 3D design. Check drafting deliverables for accuracy, completeness and adherence to design specifications intent. Apply attention and diligence to uphold quality standards, and client requirements, to complete tasks efficiently. Create 3D designs from complex, multidiscipline engineering concepts. About You 10 + years of industry experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industries. Lithium brine experience highly desirable. A strong understanding of relevant Australian standards. Experience with projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D occasional MicroStation 2D. Proficiency in AutoDesk 3D modelling programs, such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Advanced Steel, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Vault and Plant3D. Ability to work autonomously. Previous skills or interests to expand into SMP design. Willingness to adapt to a changing role. Proven skills in Advanced Steel AutoCAD Plant 3D. Smart PID integration is desirable but not essential.
