As a Retail Checkout Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face of our business, helping customers have a positive experience from start to finish. You’ll need to be approachable, a confident communicator, and a true team player who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. About the Role You’ll assist customers at the checkout, process sales accurately, and provide helpful support across the store. Every day brings variety — from building rapport with customers to keeping the checkout area running smoothly and efficiently. What We’re Looking For Previous sales or customer service experience (preferred) Strong cash-handling skills and attention to detail Ability to build rapport and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues A positive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn Team-oriented mindset and a friendly, approachable nature It’s a Plus If You Have Experience in a similar retail or checkout position A proactive and self-motivated approach Strong problem-solving and dispute resolution skills Experience or interest in hardware, trades and/or DIY industry We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
