Toronto Private Hospital, a 105-bed private hospital offering consultancy, outpatient, mental health, palliative care, general medical and rehabilitation services, invites a full-time Psychiatrist to join its team. About Us Toronto Private Hospital is committed to delivering high‑quality care and achieving positive patient outcomes. The Woodlands Unit on level 1 is a 35‑bed unit specialising in mental health services, positioning our hospital as a regional centre of excellence in mental health. Location Relocate to Toronto, NSW – a vibrant community surrounded by natural beauty and urban convenience. Toronto is located within 2 hours of Sydney and a short 40 minute drive to Newcastle, providing easy access to pristine beaches and cultural amenities. Responsibilities Consultant Psychiatrist will oversee treatment plans and care of a manageable number of admitted inpatients, supported by a multidisciplinary team. Review inpatients as required, with a minimum of three days per week. Undertake admission referrals to Mental Health Day Programs and review day‑patients based on risk and acuity. Provide referrer discharge summary and advice in writing and via phone in a timely manner, particularly when a shared‑care model is in place. Attend all Clinical Governance and Hospital committees as invited or requested. Liaise with the Mental Health Intake team on complex admission requests and new admissions. Perform clinical duties within the scope of practice, in line with the Hospital CEO’s requests. Requirements Specialist APRHA registration, and Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a relevant visa.
