Independent practitioners The Role We are seeking dedicated and passionate Urgent Care Enrolled Nurses to join our dynamic Casual Bank team in the South East Area. As a vital team member, you will ensure all patients presenting to the Urgent Care Service are appropriately triaged, assessed, and provided with frontline care in collaboration with our skilled Urgent Care medical practitioners. Your Responsibilities Create a welcoming, organised and efficient clinical environment, keeping the centre compliant, stocked and efficient for smooth daily operations. You’ll balance administrative responsibilities (40 %) like Medicare billing, accurate coding and meticulous documentation with hands‑on clinical work (60 %) that directly impacts patient care. Be the friendly face patients rely on—greeting them warmly, assisting with appointment scheduling and maintaining up‑to‑date registration details to ensure the best patient experience. Work alongside Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional care for injuries and illnesses, gaining valuable hands‑on experience in a collaborative healthcare setting. Perform a variety of clinical care activities—from conducting detailed patient history assessments and administering medications to wound care, plastering and providing our patients with the essential education that empowers their recovery. Maintain Professional Standards and Safety—ensuring all care is delivered within your scope of practice and aligns with ForHealth’s policies, thus creating a safe environment for both patients and staff. Support patient guidance by making sound assessments of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Document with precision and care—ensuring comprehensive, clear and accurate records that support ongoing patient treatment and quality care. Champion workplace health and safety by actively participating in safety initiatives, promptly reporting any incidents or hazards while fostering a secure and supportive work environment. About You Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse. Must be flexible and available evenings and weekends. Meet the minimum experience level in any one of the following: 3 years of experience as a Primary Care / General practice nurse 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department / similar setting 3 years of experience in Medical / Surgical, Orthopaedics or similar acute care areas Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handle escalations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. A passion for patient‑centred care and a personable approach.
