About the role We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Electrical Fitters and Mechanical Fitters to join our Plant Maintenance team working on the maintenance of fixed and mobile rail equipment in either Henderson, WA or on a 2:1 FIFO roster (the roster can be negotiated) in Port Hedland. This full‑time position reports to the Plant Manager and may involve a 2:1 FIFO roster or a Monday‑Friday roster. Some travel is required to service repairs in the field (working‑away allowances will be paid). Regular overtime is provided and optional weekend work is available on the metro roster. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of fixed and mobile rail equipment. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities. Utilise technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to repair and maintain equipment. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities. About You Hold a current A‑Grade Electrical Licence and proven experience of at least 2 years as an Electrical Fitter. Current MR Licence (preferred but not essential). Current Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential). Rolling Stock experience highly regarded. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and controls. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent commitment to safety and quality. Track Machine experience preferred (training will be provided if you do not have it). Strong fault‑finding skills and breakdown support. A good attitude and strong ‘team player’ with the proven ability to work efficiently with others. Able to work unsupervised and away from home.
